17-year-old student fabricated rape in Greece?

In April this year, five students from the Abbey School in Zevenkerken were out in a dance café in Athens during the last evening of their Greece trip. There, professional footballer Boris Kleyman is said to have behaved inappropriately towards a 17-year-old student. After the girl did not respond to his advances, it came to a confrontation between Kleyman, two teammates, the doorman of the bar and the students. The police arrested the goalkeeper, who also had drugs in his pocket. His football team immediately suspended him.

Kleyman himself continued to proclaim his innocence and that seems to be true now. CCTV from the bar would show that the footballer never touched the girl. The goalkeeper’s lawyer states that the girl wanted to seduce the goalkeeper, not the other way around. When she didn’t seem to succeed in her plan, he said she made up the complaint. The DNA test also seems to confirm the footballer’s innocence. The public prosecutor in Greece will soon decide whether Kleyman will be prosecuted for assault.
