Brazil’s Supreme Court on Thursday imposed stiff sentences on three supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro for their role in the violent storming of the parliament buildings and the Supreme Court in the capital Brasília on January 8 this year. In the first trial in the case, two of them were sentenced to 17 years in prison, one received 14 years in prison.
