Next exclamation mark by Julia Stusek! The 16-year-old German tennis hope is in the W15 tournament in Monastir in the round of the last four. A duo of the DTB could even follow.

In a real mountain and descent, Julia Stusek (number 1078 of the world rankings) reached the semi-finals at the W15 tournament in Monastir. The German hope wearer prevailed 6: 3, 1: 6 and 6: 1 against 20-year-old Finnin Clarissa Blomqvist (number 902 of the world rankings).

Despite the success, Stusek had to struggle with her surcharge, made six double mistakes and only played ten points if she had to strive. However, if it got tight, Stusek often kept the nerves, eight out of twelve break options from her opponent could fend off and ultimately use her third match ball after almost two hours.

The semi -finals even with three German players?

In the semifinals, Stusek could meet another DTB talent. Victoria Pohle (currently not led in the world rankings) calls for the Dutch-Louise van den Broek (number 871 of the world rankings) on Friday in her quarter-finals.

The second semi -finals, on the other hand, will surely increase without German participation. Mara Guth (number 607 of the world rankings), which was placed in place four, had to give up in the quarter -finals Carol Youngenuh Lee (number 960 of the world rankings) by the northern Marianen with 3: 6, 6: 4 and 3: 6.

If one of the remaining players from the German trio succeeded in the big coup, it would be a debut. Stusek and Pohle could not win a tournament in their professional career. Guth, on the other hand, triumphed in Kursumlijska Banja (W15) and in 2024 in Monastir (W15).

For Pohle, moving into the semi -finals would be the best performance of your young professional career. In February 2025, Stusek was in the Bucharest semi -finals (W15), which she narrowly lost.
