First there was a homophobic attack, then a punch. That’s how bad three teenagers were attacked in Mitte by a group of nine on Saturday evening.

According to the young people, the two 16 and 17-year-old girls were walking around 8 p.m. with a companion (15) on Panoramastrasse when they were homophobically insulted by a group of nine, presumably because of their clothing.

When the 16-year-old confronted the ringleader, he knocked her hat off her head and tripped her, causing the girl to fall to the ground. When the teenager got up again, the stranger also punched her in the face.

The young man then fled in the direction of Rathausstraße. The rest of the group also fled.

The police searched the area without success. The 16-year-old suffered a wound on her lip, but refused to call the emergency services.

The police state protection of the State Criminal Police Office took over the further investigations into bodily harm and insult.
