16-year-old brain dead after collision with police car in Paris region: fear of riots

A 16-year-old boy, who police said was fleeing a patrol, crashed a small motorcycle into another police car in the Paris suburb of Élancourt on Wednesday evening. The Versailles public prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday that he is brain dead. More than two months after the death of a teenager during a traffic stop in Paris led to large-scale riots, there are now new fears of unrest in France.
