15,000 euros fine per day if flash delivery driver Flink does not leave Tilburg

Flash delivery driver Flink has until August 19 to leave the Korte Tuinstraat in Tilburg. Every day that the dark store is located there longer, it can cost the company 15,000 euros per day. Flink can still appeal against the decision of the municipality, but has not yet done so.

Since January there have been problems around Flink’s building on Korte Tuinstraat. The flash delivery man settled in a shop in the small street. The neighborhood is experiencing a lot of nuisance from the supply of the dark store and the racing bicycle deliverers.

At the end of April, the municipality of Tilburg announced that Flink had to leave the Korte Tuinstraat. This is to the great relief of the local residents. The flash deliverer was still given the opportunity to respond, but that did not change the decision of the municipality. August 19, Flink really must be gone.

Every day that the flash delivery person stays longer in the building, a fine of 15,000 euros follows, with a maximum of 65,000 euros. If Flink has still not left after that, even higher fines will follow and the municipality will have the shop in Korte Tuinstraat vacated.

In appeal
Flink has until about 24 July to object to the decision of the municipality. However, according to the municipality, that does not change the deadline of August 19. “Even if the objection has yet to be dealt with, Flink must be out of the store,” a spokesperson said. Only the judge can decide that Flink may remain open during the objection procedure or that the dark store should not go away at all.
