14-year-old falls between wagons – danger to life!

A teenager is said to have climbed onto the roof of a subway in Kreuzberg and fell – suffering life-threatening injuries.

According to the police’s initial findings, the 14-year-old and two other young people got on the subway at Möckernbrücke station late on Saturday afternoon, around 5:45 p.m., it was said on Sunday. During the journey, the 14-year-old is said to have climbed onto the roof of the moving train and from there fell onto the coupling between two cars.

At the Hallesches Tor station, his two companions, aged 14 and 16, are said to have initially pulled the young person away from the tracks. Rescue workers then took the 14-year-old to a hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

The police were unable to provide any information on Sunday as to whether life was still in danger. The exact cause of the accident is now being investigated. According to the police, for example, it is currently unclear how the young person was able to get out of the moving subway and onto the roof.
