But how much this desired saving amounts to in euros? Televisions and laptops should cost on average around 220 euros less than the price at which they are offered, graphics cards around 170 euros less, smartphones and tablets around 100 euros less, while smartwatches 60 euros less.

Appliances: They should cost less

Not just electronics. Another category on which Italians would like to save is that of home appliances: vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, dryers, washing machines, hobs and ovens are among the top 30 categories on which the price alert has been activated in the last year. On average, according to Italians, these products should cost between 16% and 19% less, for a desired average saving of between 100 and 130 euros.

There ‘price alert’ function monitors times and prices automatically, offering the possibility of indicating the price at which you would like to purchase a specific item. When the product reaches the indicated price, the system sends an alert (via email or via push notification if using the idealo app) alerting the user that they can proceed with the purchase with the desired savings.
