For the BZ topic of the month “The main thing is healthy!”, I’ll give up cigarettes for four weeks – possibly forever.

Smoke free day 13: The first two weeks are the hardest, I was told at the beginning of this experiment. They’re almost done. halftime. The lungs are happy, I’m fine. I can do a few percentage points more when I exercise. smoker’s cough? Much less. Up until last weekend it wasn’t that difficult, apart from a few trigger moments. But: I’m slowly getting the feeling that the hardest phase is still ahead of me.

Last Friday I went to a birthday party – and I didn’t smoke. I stayed in the smoking kitchen most of the time. That’s where the most exciting conversations always take place. You might think it went well.

On the way home that night, however, something happened in my head: “Actually, you still want to smoke” or “You can go back in two weeks.” Thoughts that mislead my inner smoker ego and lead me back to the fluppe would like.

The mind games are slowly beginning – but I keep fighting!
