The number of registered corona infections has fallen again in the past 24 hours. Between Friday morning and Saturday morning, 32,967 new corona cases were reported to RIVM. That is less than Friday, when 37,568 new infections were identified after correction.
The number of corona patients in Dutch hospitals fell sharply from Friday to Saturday. There are still 1,398 patients in hospitals with the corona virus on Saturday, 115 less than a day earlier. It is the strongest drop in one day since early January, the most recent figures from the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS) show.
There are 169 patients with Covid-19 in intensive care units, which is 10 more than on Friday. 1,229 corona patients occupy a bed in the nursing wards, 125 less than a day earlier. The number of corona patients in hospitals has been decreasing for four days in a row.
