The police found no fewer than 117 bags of cocaine in the car of a 27-year-old resident of Waalwijk on Wednesday. The man came into the picture when two police officers saw a car known to them driving on Groenewoudlaan. The car in question had been seen more often during drug activities in Waalwijk.
Based on this, the car was pulled over and checked by the two local police officers on Drunenseweg. The driver looked nervous, police said. Upon further inspection of the car, the police found 117 bags of cocaine.
The driver was subsequently arrested. He is suspected of trafficking and possession of hard drugs. The cocaine has been seized. The suspect is still in custody.
