Four people were injured in an accident on the A50 near Heeswijk-Dinther late last night. The car the victims were in hit the highway for unknown reasons and came to a stop in a ditch. The highway to Eindhoven was closed. Two air ambulances landed on the roadway.
According to a 112 correspondent, the fire service was looking for a possible victim in a corn field near the highway. Four occupants were eventually taken to hospital by ambulance. It concerns the driver, a 19-year-old man from the municipality of Bernheze, and three women aged 19, 20 and 31 from Uden and Veghel. Police are still investigating how the accident happened. It is not yet clear whether alcohol or drugs were involved, according to a police spokesperson.
