A waste container at the Engelmeer was on fire last night. The fire at the Gemeint in Vlijmen was reported to the fire brigade around half past ten. When the fire brigade arrived at the pool, a large container with rubbish was on fire on the side of the naturist beach.
Waste that was not yet on fire was first removed from the container to allow the waste that was already on fire to burn out. The container is then extinguished. The cause of the bond is not known, but arson has not been ruled out.
