The fire brigade was called in the night from Monday to Tuesday for an incident involving a hazardous substance at Heesen Yachts in Oss. According to an employee, a technical malfunction had occurred in an Air Liquide tank filled with Argon. That happened on the site of the yacht builder on the Rijnstraat. The company would use the substance in welding work.
The fire brigade came out with a fire truck. In addition to the duty officer, a hazardous materials adviser (AGS) was also called in. The immediate vicinity of the tank installation was cordoned off with a tape. An Air Liquide fault engineer, together with the fire brigade, made the situation safe again around five o’clock. The cause of the malfunction is unknown.
