Last night, a truck driver drove slowly over the hard shoulder next to the highway at Eersel, towards the N69. A road inspector from Rijkswaterstaat saw this and escorted the driver off the highway. “He wanted to drive to the next petrol station via the emergency lane to top up AdBlue”, the road inspector says with amazement. AdBlue is a mixture of demineralized water and pure urea that converts toxic exhaust gases into water and nitrogen.
