Earlier this week, police and boas handed out eight fines at various places in the municipality of Altena. They came into action as a result of ‘rent a cop, rent a boa’, it was announced today. With this action, the municipality called on residents to report matters that are unacceptable or that arouse irritation. This resulted in 49 reports, including about cut-through traffic, speeding traffic and nuisance caused by dogs. During the speed checks that were done afterwards, the highest exceeding of the speed (by 25 kilometers per hour) was measured in Andel. The action also warned people who walked their dogs and action was taken against nuisance in playgrounds and parking behaviour. Companies have also been advised to report to the police when they have installed cameras. The police could use this in case of incidents.
