A motorist had chosen the hard shoulder of the A67 near Eersel on Saturday night as a place to sleep. A road inspector from Rijkswaterstaat saw the car there, stopped and woke the driver. “It turned out to be tired. I briefly explained why you are not allowed to stand on the hard shoulder and referred the motorist to the next exit, a bit further on, where there is a safe place.”
