On the Piusstraat in Tilburg, a fire broke out in the night from Thursday to Friday in a complex with apartments and a shop. According to a 112 correspondent, the fire started at a scooter that was in a central hall of the building.
The fire brigade spoke of a large fire and arrived with a lot of equipment. Flames shot out of the building, both to the front and back. It is not clear if anyone was injured. The fire caused extensive damage to the building.
The central hall where the fire may have started is also the access road to the apartments at the top of the building. There is also a shop next to the hall. The residents of the apartments had to leave the building and spent the night elsewhere, a 112 correspondent reported.
