A fire broke out in a forest plot on the Meester de Jonghlaan in Deurne on Friday afternoon. The fire service says the fire is under control, but is still working on putting out the fire. The fire raged on a piece of land measuring 15 by 40 meters.
The fire follows earlier fires in the region. A wildfire on Thursday in a forest area near Deurne was probably started. Police say they suspect arson and are investigating.
It concerned at least three fires in the nature reserve between Deurne and Helmond, which were reported one after the other on Thursday afternoon, according to the fire brigade.
