A 27-year-old man from Heusden was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Echt (Limburg) on Wednesday. His car crashed into the back of a moving truck. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck was unharmed, police said Thursday. The accident happened on Wednesday around 6:15 p.m. on the A2. The A2 was temporarily closed after the accident and a trauma helicopter landed on the highway for help.
The police reported on Thursday morning that the 27-year-old man had died, but they later retracted that message because it was incorrect.
