A large fire is raging at the Ecopark company on Hazepad in Breda. This is a storage and transhipment company where, among other things, household and industrial waste is stored. There is especially a lot of smoke to see as a result of the fire that is raging in a shed. A spokesperson for the Central and West Brabant Security Region says there are no injuries. There would also be no question of hazardous substances.
The first report of the fire came to the fire service around 7:30 am. Firefighters are expected to continue extinguishing the fire for a while. The smoke stays low because of the weather. The advice is therefore to close windows and doors and to turn off the ventilation if you are bothered by the smoke. An NL-alert was sent because of the smoke.
