The police have caught ‘several drivers’ transporting fireworks in the border region. The police of the team Breda-Marktdal reports this on Facebook. She regrets that an increase in cases of fireworks nuisance has been reported ‘again’ in recent weeks. She also says that dozens of cars have been checked in Baarle-Nassau and the surrounding area. The police do this in striking and inconspicuous cars.
Fireworks seized will be destroyed. You may only buy fireworks abroad that meet the requirements of Dutch regulations. It is also prohibited to transport fireworks from abroad to the Netherlands.
