A motorist was seriously injured on the Oude Veerseweg in Oosterhout last night. He left the road for unknown reasons, hit a lamppost and a tree with the car and came to a stop on the verge. Passers-by alerted the emergency services. A trauma helicopter was also called. The victim was freed from the car by the fire service and then rushed to the hospital in Tilburg. The trauma doctor accompanied the ambulance.
