A motorist drove through a fence in Maarheeze last night at the Grootse Bleek rest area along the A2 between Eindhoven and Weert. This happened about half past three. The motorist missed the ramp, went straight ahead at full speed and ended up on the verge. The car eventually came to a stop on the Klaterspeelweg, which runs parallel to the A2. The driver escaped unhurt. A salvage company was called in to tow the car away.
