A fire broke out at a house in the Hoofdstraat in Kaatsheuvel yesterday afternoon. A lot of smoke was released from the fire. The fire was reported as a chimney fire around a quarter past five and scaled up to a medium fire fifteen minutes later and then to a large fire after forty minutes.
According to a spokesman for the fire service, this mainly happened because extra hands were needed to break open a ceiling, the floor and the chimney. The damage to the house is extensive. As far as is known, no one was injured in the fire.
