During demolition work on Monsignor Ariensstraat in Rijen for a gas leak, a gas pipeline was hit on Tuesday morning. Because it was unclear how much gas flowed from the pipeline, the area was cordoned off. An investigation revealed that the pipeline had been broken for some time. Enexis was called in to plug the leak.
