00.11 – Front door of employment agency set on fire
A man set fire to the front door of an employment agency in Roosendaal on Monday evening. The police and fire brigade arrived on the scene. The police managed to prevent worse with the help of fire extinguishers. The man was arrested on the spot.
The fire service has checked the building. The front door was badly damaged and a window was also allegedly smashed. The police have contacted the company, they can file a report.
23.06 – Car out of a bend, driver trapped in vehicle
A motorist lost control of the steering wheel in a bend in Tilburg on Monday evening. It happened on the Dalemdreef. The car ended up on its side after hitting a lamppost. The fire brigade, together with bystanders, put the car back on its wheels after which the victim could be freed.
The road was partially closed to traffic. A salvage company took the car. The victim became aggressive when he was on the stretcher, he was then handcuffed by officers.
22.30 – Bulgarians who stole catalytic converters from cars are stuck longer
The three Bulgarian men who were arrested in Helmond last weekend for theft of catalytic converters from cars will remain in prison longer. The Public Prosecution Service decided that on Monday.
They are suspected of multiple thefts across the country. When they took the catalytic converter out of the car, they put it in the bushes to pick it up later. The metals from the catalyst yield a lot of money.
