A fire raged in the building of the former De Baarzen primary school on Rouppe van der Voortlaan in Vught last night. Fire had been set in several places in a classroom. The fire brigade quickly had the starting fires under control. The fire was noticed by a local resident and reported around ten past one.
There are plans to demolish the school to make way for houses and shops. The demolition has recently been halted because there may be bats in the building. In the meantime, almost all the windows of the former school have been smashed. The fire was fought by the fire brigades of Vught and Cromvoirt.
