The seaport police arrested three suspects for cargo theft at the port site in Moerdijk on Monday. In September last year, a large batch of stolen crates and trampolines were found in a warehouse on the port site. The trampolines turned out to be stolen in Boxtel. Tents, among other things, were also stolen there. The stolen items were eventually found in a truck in Dordrecht. This is how the police eventually identified the three suspects. They were then arrested on Monday on suspicion of stealing.
These are three men aged 25, 33 and 33 from Dordrecht. One of the men is also suspected of theft of a sea container with SUP boards from the port site in Moerdijk. Officers searched several places and seized a car, a quad bike and cash, among other things. The suspects were released after questioning. They will have to answer to the judge later, the police announced today.
2 p.m. – Eindhoveen resident (46) arrested for coke trafficking
IFollowing an investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering, the police arrested a 46-year-old man in Eindhoven yesterday. The man is said to have been involved in the cocaine trade. He is also suspected of money laundering. The man was arrested at his home yesterday morning and he is still in custody, the police just announced.
Yesterday, the suspect’s house and that of a family member were also searched as part of the investigation. Digital data carriers and administration, among other things, were seized from the houses. Some valuable jewelry was also seized during the operation.
