A police pursuit of a delivery van ended on Tuesday evening around half past nine on the Zevenbergsedijk in Berghem. The driver of the van got stuck and fled on foot. Officers searched in vain for the man in the woods. A police helicopter was also used in the search. The driver has not yet been arrested.
The chase started on the A326 outside our province. Officers wanted the driver to stop for a check. He gave gas and fled. The chase was on the A50 and the A59 to the N329. At Oss-Zuid, the driver took the exit and got stuck. The van was empty, according to police.
