The police arrested a man at just before noon on Monday evening for assault at the station in Breda. It concerns a 20-year-old man from Eindhoven.
When NS Safety and Service employees wanted to check a passenger for his ticket, he raised his middle finger and started insulting them. He also became aggressive. The man was arrested, but he also resisted vehemently. NS employees therefore had to make an emergency call to the police.
The police warned the man several times, but he became increasingly aggressive. He assaulted and insulted several officers. After considerable resistance, he was eventually arrested. A report has been filed against him and he is still in custody at the police station.
