A woman was seriously injured in an accident on Tuesday evening on Hertog Janstraat in Lith. She went off the road with her car for unknown reasons and when she steered back, the curb was driven out of the ground. The entire front of the car was destroyed.
The victim became trapped in the car and was trapped under the dashboard, according to the fire service. Emergency services struggled to free the woman. She was taken to hospital by ambulance. An air ambulance was called, but ultimately failed to land. It is not clear how the accident happened.
