The fire brigade, police, enforcement and ProRail Incident Control were alerted on Thursday because of a fire to the railway in Maarheeze. A roadside fire was raging near the railway street. According to a 112 correspondent, the fire was caused by children who had played with fire there. When other children went to have a look, they saw that the fire was spreading. Then they sounded the alarm. The fire brigade was present with a water truck and tanker sprayer and quickly had the fire under control. Enforcement officers have entered into discussions with the children and parents.
