Animal ambulance Maasland removed a deceased dog from the water at the Maas in Maren-Kessel this morning. The dog would have been in the water for ‘some time’, employees of the animal ambulance think several weeks.
It is suspected that the dog jumped or fell into the water and was carried away by the current and drowned. “It may therefore be that the animal does not come from this area. It is a female, unfortunately we were unable to find a chip,” the animal ambulance said.
In a message on Facebook, the news about the deceased dog is shared, in the hope that the owner of the animal will come forward.
