A car left the road on the Gewandeweg in the outskirts of Oss around ten past seven tonight. The car then overturned and ended up in a ditch. The two occupants were able to get out of the car on their own. The man who said he was behind the wheel told police he may have had too much to drink: “A beer. About three o’clock this afternoon.”
An officer believed little of this, but it is not clear whether the driver had really gone wrong. It became clear that he did not have a driver’s license with him. He had, he said, for at least four years, but left it at home. The police are looking into this. In the meantime, a salvage company has been called in to remove the car, owned by an employment agency in Houten, Utrecht, from the ditch.
