A car went up in flames around half past twelve last night in a parking lot on Zuiderstraat in Helmond. Firefighters quickly had the fire under control but could not prevent the car from being lost. The car parked next to it was also damaged. How the fire broke out is under investigation. Because there was a gas tank in the car, there was a risk of explosion. The police asked residents who came to watch to keep their distance.
