A motorist drove his car into the water in the night from Thursday to Friday along the A2 highway near Den Bosch. The driver drove the car straight through a bend and ended up meters lower in a wet ditch.
Emergency services have come to the rescue en masse. The fire brigade, police and several ambulances arrived on the scene, as did a trauma helicopter. Divers from the fire brigade were also alerted. The driveway at the county house was temporarily closed by the emergency services.
It is unclear how many people were in the car or if there are any injuries. A salvage company pulled the car out of the water.
