A fire broke out in a warehouse on the Dodesteeg in the outskirts of Wijk en Aalburg around eleven o’clock last night. There were some agricultural machines in the shed. There was also a pile of hay. Nothing is known about the cause of the fire. Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to a barn with cows.
Several fire brigades went out with several tanker sprayers, a cherry picker and the large water transport to fight the fire. The burning hay was driven outside to be extinguished there. Once the fire brigade had the situation under control, they spent some time extinguishing the fire. It is not clear how extensive the damage is. As far as is known, no one was injured.
