Traffic from Den Bosch to Utrecht is experiencing a lot of delay on the A2 highway this morning. At a certain moment there was a traffic jam of 11 kilometers between the Empel junction, near Den Bosch, and Waardenburg, which meant an extra travel time of 80 minutes. The left lane was closed for a while after an accident in which several cars were involved, according to the ANWB. Traffic was advised to drive via the A27, although it is also fixed at Utrecht.
By a quarter to eight the left lane was reopened, but the right lane was closed due to a car that had broken down. As a result, there was a 10 kilometer traffic jam between the Sint-Michielsgestel exit and the Kerkdriel exit, or a delay of 50 minutes.
