An 18-year-old Roosendaler had to hand in his driver’s license on Friday evening. Officers in an unrecognizable police car were passed on the right just before half past ten on the A17 at exit Borgwerf. They gave the car a stop sign, but it took off at over 200 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, the driver turned several times without indicating direction, signaled to other road users and was not wearing a seat belt. Finally, the car stopped on the dead end Lapdijk in Moerdijk. The driver and co-driver tried to flee, but were soon apprehended.
