A car left the road last night and crashed into a tree next to the Nieuwkuijkseweg in Helvoirt. This happened around two o’clock in the morning. The car, which came from the direction of Helvoirt and drove towards Cromvoirt, came to a standstill on the road after the collision. After the crash, the road surface was littered with car parts. After the collision with the tree, the battery and engine block flew out of the car and ended up on the road and half in the ditch. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital in Den Bosch in an ambulance. After it turned out that he was under the influence of alcohol, the man was arrested by the police. No other traffic was involved in the crash.
