A box truck burned out on the street around ten o’clock last night Smagard in Den Bosch. The fire brigade was quickly present, but could not prevent the box truck from being lost. The box truck is said to have been parked there for two weeks. While extinguishing the fire, officers received information about the white van parked opposite the box truck. It would be full of nitrous oxide cylinders. This turned out to be true. The van has been seized for investigation.
When the fire was extinguished, using a fire hydrant on the Smaragd, a large water leak occurred. The water pipe had burst. The water ran out of the pipe in many liters at a time and flushed sand with it. In no time at all a hole was created in the sidewalk measuring one and a half meters by one and a half meters. Brabant Water came to the Smaragd with several employees and shut off the water mains.
