A motorist crashed her car into a tree next to the Haarenseweg near Esch around a quarter past eleven last night. The car was severely damaged, but the woman still tried to drive away after the collision, a local police officer reported on Instagram. The driver had drunk far too much alcohol. She had a blood alcohol level of more than 1.72. She then had to surrender her driver’s license. Despite the heavy blow, the woman was not injured. The car was taken by a salvage company.
