112 news: A58 partly closed due to accident • Loevestein Castle closed

A car ended up in the ditch next to the A50 near Eindhoven around one o’clock this afternoon, after the driver veered across the highway. A police spokesperson reports that the driver suffered a hypo (a sharp drop in blood sugar levels) and therefore swerved across the road. The police received a number of reports from concerned road users.

The car ended up in the ditch near the connecting road from the A50 to John F. Kennedylaan in Eindhoven. Shortly before, the car collided with another road user. The driver who suffered the hypo was removed from the car by the fire brigade. The occupants of the crashed car felt unwell for a short time, but were not injured. They were checked by ambulance personnel.
