A motorist crashed into a parked car on Wesselmanlaan in Helmond last night around half past eleven. The impact caused the parked car to collide with another car.
The driver was able to get out of the car himself but was taken to hospital by ambulance. The police accompanied the man and the man was tested for alcohol and drug use in the hospital. He tested positive for cannabis and amphetamine. The man has been arrested in hospital.
The road was closed for investigation. A motorist ignored the barrier. The man was therefore fined. It turned out that he also did not have a driver’s license, which resulted in a fine.
Two cars were collected by a salvage company. The road was temporarily closed.
