A 29-year-old motorist was arrested this evening for driving under the influence of drugs. This is reported by the East Brabant Traffic Police. She tracked down the man after he ignored an overtaking ban on the Geldropseweg in Mierlo.
The man then refused to cooperate with a saliva test, so blood was taken at the police station. He was fined 280 euros for overtaking during an overtaking ban and a fine of 280 euros for refusing the saliva test. He has also been banned from driving for 24 hours.
The man was also arrested last summer for driving under the influence.
