110 migrants rescued from overcrowded dinghies in Mediterranean Sea | Abroad

Italy has assigned the port of Ancona to the Adriatic Sea to both organizations. For both ships, that port is quite far from their current position. SOS Méditerranée estimates that the port is four days away by boat. The crew has therefore asked the Italian Ministry of the Interior to designate another port, but the Italian government has refused, according to the organization.
