10+1 great songs as comic book covers

For the comic project “Moga Mobo Music – Greatest Hits”, 100 artists were given the task of covering 100 of their favorite songs. From Tupac to Roland Kaiser. Requirement: one page and 9 panels space – no color and no words.

The result is quite a sensational compilation of very different musical interpretations that play with the visual reservoir of pop culture or humorously reflect on the clichés that it has created over the past few decades. In addition, the quite surprising connections between music and the ninth art are worked out, which go far beyond the fact that some of the great comic masters also created cover artworks for albums.
