According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), some 13,000 addresses still need to be strengthened until 2028. That is feasible, says SodM Inspector General Theodor Kockelkoren, “but then NCG, municipalities and central government must do everything they can to to get this done together with the residents.”

To reach the target in time, the pace must triple. Nevertheless, the ministry says that the NCG is “on the right track”. Until 2027 estimated at 8.8 billion euros for the repair and strengthening operation.
