Worse European Cup evening in Sweden! At Unions 1-0 in Malmö, Berlin chaos almost caused the game to be abandoned. Is there a ghost game as a punishment after the mega interruption?
Club boss Dirk Zingler on his feelings after the game: “Different. I’m happy about the victory, which was not undeserved. But of course it’s a tarnished victory. It is unacceptable. I’m pissed.”

What is clear, however, is that chaotic people immediately fired two rockets from the Union block. Immediately a group forms from the neighboring Malmö block. Drinks fly in the direction of the Union Block.
Firecrackers are ignited, one of which triggers a deafening noise. It is unclear who set off the firecracker. Seat shells are hauled over from the Union block. A rocket is also launched onto the field from the Malmö side.
Consequence: The game is canceled by referee Meler (Turkey), the teams are sent to the dressing room. Five minutes later, the police arrive and stand between the Union and Malmö blocks.

Not enough: “Stadtmeister, Stadtmeister” calls from the Union Block answer fans of Malmö FF (!) with a poster: “Berlin ist Blau Weiss”.
The game resumes after 24 minutes. The announcements beforehand in Swedish and German (from stadium announcer Christian Arbeit) are clear: If something else happens, it will be canceled for good.
Union is now threatened with a severe penalty from Uefa. It is possible that even the next Euro home game on October 27th against Braga will be declared a ghost game.
